We worked with all kinds of wire shooting machines in the past and we took the best of each to create our compact and powerful SIDES WIRE SHOOTER with all the elements you need and want. We have been testing and revising the design for over 6 months to be sure we can offer a machine with an affordable pricetag which is convenient and gets the job done every time.
Acetate frames without a wire core are useless. Period. This machine is a must have for any serious frame maker. It is designed for small batch productions with heated wire bed, precision linear movement to be able to shoot wire always straight down the middle of the material. The machine consists of precision heat control, ballscrew for linear movement and super rigid structure.
It is defaultly developed for shooting a side wire without a hinge. The wire shooter works with material widths of 20 mm and 30 mm. All you need to change the working width is to swap the guide rails. The task doesn't require any tools and it takes about 45 seconds. We plan to release a machine design for alternative wire guides in Q2 2022. We are just getting started.
Wire shooting is not exactly an exciting part of the frame manufacturing process so we were dedicate to make the whole process as simple and enjoyable as possible. All it takes is two buttons and a lever. Nothing else. No tools, no adjustments, no hustle.
The process goes as follows:
- Heat the material based on its thickness
- Load the wire into the SIDE SLAP HEATER
- Now you have a minute or two to check your Instagram
- Take the preheated material in the material bay
- Press the material using the toggle clamp
- Press the arrow button
- Wait for the material cool down around 15 seconds
- Done. That's all.
