When did all start? All the way back in 2012 and the world of eyewear has astonished us ever since. As a team, we set our minds to develop a unique manufacturing technology for ZEW which taught us a lesson or two. We were determined to make it happen and that's when we realise we like a challenge. And engineering.

Our mission
Most of the spectacle frame manufacturing technologies and machines are expensive, bulky and complicated. Nearly all corporations have lost touch with the end user a long time ago due to multilayer business and supply chain structures.
We are here to disrupt the trend by moving manufacturing closer to the customer by allowing you to take advantage of all the high end technologies whether you are an optician, renowned designer or a skilled craftsman.
We have designed, developed and engineered a portfolio of compact and affordable machines and tools for acetate spectacle frames manufacturing to help every one of you create the best possible eyewear wherever you are.

Our story
We have been designing industrial single purpose machines for 16 years now. In our experience, the best results are achieved by combining high quality engineering with a cost effective approach. And we did exactly that with eyewear manufacturing by combing our engineering skills and focus with the knowledge of the eyewear industry we gained since 2012.
Our head engineer Matej wanted to build few machines for our workshops and few good friends in the eyewear manufacturing at first. Later we realised how big is the idea of adapting the machines to small studios and workshops and that is why we found SMALL BATCH TOOLS.
So here we are. It is the year 2021 and we are ready to support you on your journey to create outstanding eyewear. To be honest, we are really proud of the concept and how the portfolio works together. Hopefully you will also enjoy our products and support.
Our goal
Rather than conserve and just offer a selection products, our goal is to keep developing the SMALL BATCH TOOLS concept and do more. That is why the feedback from our customers all over Europe has been so helpful. Thank you! As we already mentioned, we also use all the machines and tools ourselves in our London and Prague workshops daily which gives us the irreplaceable hands-on experience. And now, you too can take advantage of all the efforts we put into this.

Also we believe the way our products are used is a game changer. All the machines are quickly adjustable without any expensive tools or specific skills. All adjustments are quick and most importantly easily repeatable.

We are dedicated to give you all the support you need whether that is before or after purchasing our machines. We provide basic training, after sale service and we keep spare parts for all our machines so you can fully rely on us.
We want to keep all our machines en stock at all times so we deliver fast whatever is the need. We understand what a hassle it is when the manufacturing process comes to a halt. We really want you have your peace of mind.
Just a reminder, that you might find acetate leftovers on your new machine as each and every one of them is hard tested before shipping. We do not mean just the electrics but actual testing e.g. sanding, thumbing or shaping. This also means that every CNC makes a couple of frames before it's shipped to you as we need to make sure it works in real life production.
Our believes
All our products are designed and assembled in the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic to ensure best quality possible. We prefer Europe to any kind of production in Asia because we also believe it is the right thing to do for ethical reasons. Such decision allows us to have control over the whole process and to fully understand every single component. Further it is possible to really pay attention to detail while keeping our costs down and staying flexible.
